Accelerating plant-based adoption to combat
climate change

How are we tackling it?

Cultivating a Network

Expand the network of individuals and organizations committed to plant-based practices, key players in combating climate change. Our first initiative, the Plantee app, encourages people to adopt plant-based meals.

Gradual Incentivised Change

Food is a sensitive topic, and we don’t expect everyone to go fully plant-based. However, with the right incentives, we can encourage the world to adopt a more flexitarian diet, one meal at a time.

Plantee Impact Index

These incentives are funded by the Plantee Impact Index, which promotes personal accountability through consistent, small and achievable actions and when combined, makes a big difference.

Trust, Transparency & Verification

The value lies in our network, but this won't exist without explicit trust in the system. Here's how we achieve it.

Attestations

Plantee's core function is providing verifiable attestations for all plant-based actions. Our goal is to become the trusted authority for plant-based data.

Meal Verification

Multiple methods are employed to verify plant-based meals. There's a social consensus that adds a fun element, as well as AI verification methods that are continuously improved as the network grows.

Onchain

Plantee leverages the Base network to publicly attest verified meals and distribute incentives globally. With onchain data, Plantee benefits from data immutability, ensuring that once a meal is verified, the record cannot be altered or tampered with. This guarantees the integrity and trustworthiness of our data.

Platform Tools

Data transparency is already provided by the onchain data storage, but some tech expertise knowledge is required to access it. To increase accessibility to a wider audience, we have built platform tools like the Plantee Explorer

Roadmap

PHASE I

Bootstrap/testnet

• Launch of app and platform. Allows users to get rewarded and withdraw.

• Improve verification to reach accuracy threshold (50%)

PHASE II

Token launch

• Continue improving verification and accuracy

PHASE III

Bootstrap/testnet

Share what it is we're doing in phase III

PHASE IV

Bootstrap/testnet

Share what it is we're doing in phase IV

Purchase transparent and verifiable Plantee meals through the Plantee platform to reduce global CO2 emissions.

Plantee can provide value

Health enthusiasts

Everyone now knows that consuming more plant-based food is better than less. It is linked with a reduction in all kinds of health crises.

Sustainability

90% of deforestation in the Amazon rainforest go toward producing feed for animal-farming.

Future generations

We help ourselves by securing our future.

Land owners

Land owners who choose to re-wild can apply for rebates through our platform.

Conservation

Protecting ecosystems through sustainable agriculture practices can support ecotourism, outdoor recreation, and other nature-based industries, contributing to local economies.

Food Security

Plant-based agriculture is more resource-efficient and scalable compared to animal agriculture. Increasing the production of plant-based foods will help improve global food security.

Making an Impact

How can we make a significant impact on climate change?

80% of all agricultural land worldwide is used for livestock farming, which is highly inefficient compared to plant-based agriculture. Livestock farming often requires deforestation, which increases carbon emissions both through the act of deforestation and the loss of ecosystems that would otherwise absorb carbon from the atmosphere.

Stopping or reducing deforestation will have a significant and meaningful impact on combating climate change.

Making an Impact

How can we make a significant impact on climate change?

A single person going 100% plant based can save as much as 4.32 tons of CO2 per year. That's more than enough to offset the emissions from an economy-class return flight from Singapore to New York (3,470kg of emissions). From one day a week to one meal a day flexitarians to full-time Vegans, imagine the kind of impact we could make if we all pulled together in our efforts?

Reducing our meat intake will not only reduce emissions but will help restore and protect our forests, a natural carbon sink that sequesters about about 1/3 of the total CO2 emissions from fossil fuel burning. It's a simple choice that we all make on a daily basis as individuals that as a collective has the power to re-green our planet whilst drastically reducing GHG emissions.
